As you all know, I feel very strongly about equal rights, and gay rights in particular. In the years since meeting my soulmate, I’ve come to learn that not everyone can understand the love that we share simply because we are both men. (well, kind of!) I’ve already taken my stance on that issue here, and I won’t bear too much repetition for the simple fact that if you are visiting my blog, chances are you’re okay with the gay.

With that said, I would like to point out that homophobia exists partly because we allow it in our daily lives. I know many gay people who, although they consider themselves “out”, would never feel comfortable with even the slightest public display of affection with their partner, simply because they worry about the reaction of others. It is my belief that life is too short to not show affection to those you love, no matter who they are or what anyone thinks.

I am proud to announce the Video Premiere for the upcoming Great Nationwide Kiss-In, held on Saturday, August 15th. Many thanks to David Badash and David Mailloux for organizing this beautiful event, and for making such a strong statement for those of us who might not be brave enough to do so ourselves. Chris and I feel very honored to have been featured in the video three times…although some of you might not recognize us with shorter hair! Can you pick out all three shots?
